To Agree To Disagree

If only we could agree to disagree what a wonderful world this would be.

​

If we could agree to disagree then perhaps we could all live in perfect harmony.  We could all work together, a nod of the head here - a shake of it there - and our differing opinions would no longer be such a burden to bare.

​

If only we could agree to disagree - to live in peace by respecting each other's individuality.  We would no longer chastise those who stood up for their rights - in fact there would be little reason to put up any fights.

​

If only we could agree to disagree - and realise that each and everyone of us - our true selves - can be.  If the actions of some caused others pain - maybe we could dissolve it with the three C's of Co-operation, Courtesy and Consideration - instead of violently reacting to each other like the criminally insane.

​

If only we could agree to disagree ... what a wonderful world this would be!  Perhaps with the veils of prejudice shed in this way; we would be able to see the hidden Magic and Genius that can be found in the odd and the peculiar - or in a Child at play.

​

If only we could agree to disagree what a wonderful world this would be!  We would be able to choose our own paths and conceptions of what is real - with no fear of people's ridicule or judgements when our deepest selves - we reveal.

​

If only we could agree to disagree!  To respect each other at all times and irrespective of our colour, our race, our religion or our place, to grant each other gentle kindness and human dignity.

​

Who knows dear world - perhaps if we could agree to disagree we would find ourselves living in perfectly peaceful harmony!

Oh ... what a wonderful world it would be.
